ok the tap thing is actually genius
wasn't sure about the whole "tap the plates to turn it on" thing, sounded gimmicky. but honestly it's so much easier than fumbling for a button. and it's hot in like 10 seconds, i don't even sit down anymore lol

my hair isn't fried for once
I have really fine hair that gets damaged if I look at it wrong basically. Kept it on the lower setting (165) and it still got my hair pin straight in one pass. Few weeks in and my ends genuinely look better. didn't expect that

Works on thick hair (finally)
My hair is thick and coarse and most irons just don't get hot enough. Bumped it to the higher setting and it held all day, even walking around in humidity. Only thing is I wish the cord was a little less stiff but that's me nitpicking

glad I didn't pay salon prices
Almost dropped way more on a "name brand" one. This has the floating plates, heats instantly, gentle on the hair... does everything the expensive ones do. wish I found it before honestly

the auto shut off is for people like me
I am THE person who gets to work and panics thinking I left it on. it turns itself off after 30 seconds of not being used so I've stopped having little heart attacks at my desk. didn't know I needed this feature until I had it

it's the little cord thing
sounds silly but the cord spins so it never gets twisted around the back of my head. reaches the mirror fine, glides smooth, no snagging. been using daily for 3 weeks and zero complaints. just get it
